Are you interested in joining the Tufcot team?

We are currently seeking a Product Engineer to help support our busy Technical Office.

As a Product Engineer at Tufcot, your days are filled with a range of technical challenges and interactions which require you to be a highly motivated and technically minded individual with a keen eye for detail.

Your industry experience and existing knowledge, combined with the training we provide and support from the Engineering Manager, will enable you to jump from collaborating with customers and colleagues on Tufcot® materials and products to troubleshooting customer enquiries.

You will educate customers on the many varied applications for Tufcot® materials; every day brings something different.

Technical Queries and Quotations:

Spend some time responding to customer technical queries. This could involve explaining the properties of Tufcot® materials or troubleshooting application issues. Prepare quotations for potential new projects, ensuring they accurately reflect the customer’s requirements and the pricing strategy of Tufcot® .

Lunch

Debate the news, discuss the word of the day. And sometimes we order in!

Afternoon

Drawing Review:

Review engineering drawings to ensure they are complete and meet Tufcot® manufacturing capabilities and industry standards before they go into the machine shop. Generate CAD drawings if required.

Technical Activities:

Provide technical support to customers or internal teams. This might involve troubleshooting manufacturing issues, offering installation guidance or advice on product maintenance.

Consult with the customer to determine the most suitable Tufcot® material for their application, considering factors like load-bearing capacity and other operating conditions such as speed and temperature.

Long Term Activities:

Review and progress on your longer-term projects such as material improvement research, material testing, personal development, or certification.
