World Environment Day
World Environment Day will take place on Sunday 5th June 2022.
It is led by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and has been held annually since 1973.
World Environment Day is celebrated by millions of people and shines a light on the environmental issues we face today.
Since the beginning, the slogan has been “Only One Earth” and you will find many trending conversations around the #OnlyOneEarth hashtag.

Tufcot has Passed the Latest ISO 14001 Audit with Flying Colours
ISO 14001 is a voluntary system that sets out and assesses certifiable environmental management systems.
The objective is to address the delicate balance between maintaining profitability and reducing environmental impact, implementing business processes that engage the whole organisation and demonstrate a commitment to environmental protection from the top down.
The audit took place in May and included a series of remote checks and reviews of our processes and procedures.
The report highlighted no ‘non-conformance’ issues and 18 positive observations.
No action or changes have been stipulated or required as a result of the external audit, re-certification to the standard has been granted for three years, and there is no follow-up until the next continuous audit visit, which has been scheduled for May 2023.

The Feedback
“The organisation has improved the Environmental Management System by conducting and documents internal audits and Management Review Meetings.
The environmental and quality coordinator has been employed and the system is properly maintained.”
“That’s great – well done.
To get through the first full audit with no major or even minor non-conformances is an achievement”
