A Great Start to 2022

2022 has started with a bang here at Tufcot!

After successfully navigating challenging times throughout COVID lockdowns, we have seen a strong increase in orders over the first months of 2022.

It is very pleasing to see orders come from a wide range of customers and sectors.

We have received increased orders from current customers, reignited working relationships with old customers and also brought brand new customers on board.

Exciting times indeed!

Managing Capacity

Here at Tufcot, we are constantly working to improve and maintain optimum performance.

Here are just some of the steps we take to ensure that high quality products are delivered in a timely manner every time!

  • Quality Management – We ensure our internal processes are constantly monitored and as efficient as possible.

  • Investment in Equipment – We purchase new equipment to enhance the capabilities and capacity of our factory.

  • Staff Training – We maintain high levels of staff training to ensure we have the right skilled people in place throughout the business.

  • Carefully Manage Our Suppliers – All suppliers are monitored and evaluated to ensure that our supply chain is as efficient and reliable as possible.

  • Reduce Machine Downtime – We take measures to ensure that all of our equipment is well looked after thus reducing breakdowns and equipment failure.

  • Hire Staff – We regularly hire new staff members to join the Tufcot team allowing us to increase our capacity and the potential of the company as a whole.

  • Offer Overtime – At times of high demand, we offer overtime to staff allowing us to manage the company’s potential output.

A Real Team Effort

Tufcot has always placed a huge amount of importance on pulling together as a team.

Over the last few months, we have seen some great examples of this including:

  • Justin Krebs (Operations Manager) – Due to the recent increased workload, our Operations Manager, Justin Krebs, offered to spend some time working on the CNC machines to help us get orders out as quickly as possible. Though not a usual part of his role, it’s great to see Justin get back on the machines to help the team out.

  • Andrew Houseman (Production Manager) – Andrew Houseman has also been working on the machines to help keep the orders flying out. It’s great to see our managers step in and work hands on with the machines when the need is there.

  • Katy Thorne (Purchasing Manager) – Katy Thorne has also been working hands on in the Pre-Production Department helping to increase our capacity and keep the orders flying out the door.

However, these are just a few examples of how the Tufcot team has pulled together in the first few months of 2022 so we’d like to say a huge thank you to all Tufcot staff members for a truly inspiring effort.

You make Tufcot what is is today!
