Our most commonly used Grade in the Marine sector, used worldwide, is the material Grade T100MP.
Tufcot® T100 Grade Variations
Every T100 range of materials uses a polyester based resin system and the various grades we produce has a different solid lubricant that is added to further enhance the standard resin range and open this up to more applications at a better co-efficient of friction level.
Our T100MP Grade can operate at 100 degrees Celsius in certain applications and conditions, but we recommend a maximum of 80 degrees Celsius for constant running applications.
Tufcot have recorded figures of between 0.1 and 0.12 for the co-efficient of friction value against stainless steel.
These figures were present when we achieved our Lloyds approval for the sector.
Tufcot® Grade T100MP
The Grade T100MP can be used in many standard applications in use for Wear Pads, Bearings and Wear Ring applications.
Typical Market Sectors
Below is an example of some of the Market Sectors where T100MP has been successful:
Rail – Tipper mechanism bearings.
Mechanical Handling – Deck Cranes, Winch bearings
Hydraulics – Cylinder eye end spherical bearings
Marine – Rudder and Rudder Pintle bearings (Lloyds approved).
Oil, Gas and Mining – FPSO Turret Bearing, Mooring Sheave Bearings
Hydro Power – Wicket gate lower bearings, operating ring bushes
Subsea – Subsea Drilling equipment
Benefits of T100MP
T100MP is our most effective and cost-effective Grade and its benefits include:
High Strength to Weight Ratio
Minimal Swell in Water
