Tufcot are pleased to announce the recent acquisition of four key pieces of equipment which will make a significant impact on both the company’s production capacity and material specification control.

Over the past 1-2 years you will have seen many blog posts on the purchases that Tufcot have made to further enhance all parts of our workshop, making it even more efficient, allowing for lead times to remain short and for us to add extra services to our growing machine base.

The recent set of purchases include; a new Mills CNC delivered Doosan machine (allowing our machining capacity to increase further in this critical area), a centre lathe to prepare the material to be used on the new CNC, the test rig (allowing us to internally test and achieve the industry specific approvals) and finally a Router (this will allow us to speed up the production of milled padwork to keep our Milling machines free for more complicated, 3D jobs).

We were well aware of the need to relocate the business from our premises 5 years ago from Colwall Street, nevertheless gaining the extra space at Coleford Road would be little help without this further investment to boost our production capacity and importantly, our ability to achieve the industry approvals we need to compete in such markets as Marine and Rail sectors.

I hope this recent batch of investment underlines to our existing and future customers that Tufcot are looking to the future and positioning ourselves so we can cope with the increasing need for industry specific approvals and a constant need to keep delivery times down to a minimum in such critical market sectors
