2023 was a very successful year for Tufcot’s charity efforts.

In total, we raised £6173.84 for The Children’s Hospital Charity which is based in Sheffield and close to many of our employees’ hearts.

Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity supports the care of children, young people and their families by providing specialist medical equipment, new facilities to extend the range of treatment provided as well as research into the care, prevention and cure of childhood diseases.

Harriet Keynes of The Children’s Hospital Charity recently visited Tufcot to receive the cheque from our very own Darren Kay, Katy Thorne, Chris Brown and Chrissie Chadbourne.

We hope it makes a difference to those who need it most.

Tufcot’s Charity Work In 2023

Throughout 2023, we ran a wide range of charity events including lots of fitness challenges where employees set goals and the company matched their donations.

Here are just some of 2023’s charity events:

  • Two teams ventured up Snowdon with one of the teams trekking on the hottest day of the year!

  • Several employees had a great night at the charity’s first annual Comedy night hosted by Jon & Lucy Richardson.

  • Other events included a Chatsworth walk and quiz night all organised by The Children’s Hospital Charity.

  • We combined team building with fundraising at our Easter and Christmas events and were also very proud to sponsor a Christmas snowflake on the hospital.

  • One our employees Kev Leitch set himself the personal challenge of stopping smoking and he raised an incredible £310!

Tufcot would like to thank all employees who participated and contributed to The Childrens Hospital Charity in 2023.

We are extremely proud of the record total we raised this year helping to support another fantastic cause.

Our Chosen Charity For 2024

As usual, our annual chosen charity is selected by all of Tufcot’s staff members.

After an employee vote, Tufcot’s chosen charity for 2024 is Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice.

Since being established in 1998, Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice has supported hundreds of children from across South Yorkshire, North Derbyshire, North Nottinghamshire and parts of North Lincolnshire.

They support children and young adults whose lives are just too short by supporting the whole family and providing the best care possible.

We are looking forward to finding ways to support their excellent work in the coming year.
