Tufcot® T200 – High Temperature

Tufcot’s T200 resin system is our higher temperature resin system, again a polyester resin system and used in applications where the customer requires a higher temperature capability than the T100 resin systems.

T200 can be used without lubricants or with the addition of solid lubricants as mentioned above, provides the self-lubricating nature of the material to reduce the operating friction with its mating parts.

T200 will operate to a maximum constant temperature of 120 degrees Celsius and gives a co-efficient of friction value of approx. 0.2 against stainless steel in dry running conditions.

This figure can be reduced to between 0.15 and 0.19 with the addition of Graphite, as in T200G grade (a Tufcot standard grade).

Tufcot® T200 Material Grades

T200MPBlue GreyReplace existing metallic or non-metallic bearing materials in the marine sector where enhanced temperature is required.Enhanced temperature version of T100M + PTFE. Limited chemical resistance but capable of withstanding:

  • 100 degrees centrigrade contant
  • 120 degrees centrigrade intermittent
T200GDark GreyReplace existing metallic or non-metallic bearing materials where enhanced temperature is required.Enhanced temperature version of T100G. Limited chemical resistance but capable of withstanding:

T200PBrownHigh slip properties means it is suitable for Wear Pad or Press Slide arm applications.High slip properties. This is applicable for enhanced temperature applications.
