Properties of Composite Materials

The Tufcot® range of resin systems can incorporate different additives and or fillers along with different fabric reinforcing’s to achieve the end product our customers require.

Tufcot currently has 4 main resin systems in use:

Standard Grade

Tufcot tick to represent our standard Tufcot T100 range

High Temperature

Temperature Resistant Composite Materials

Fire Retardant

Fire Retardant Composite Materials

Chemical Resistant

Chemical Resistant Composite Materials

However to ensure we are in a position to meet the requirements of new applications our R and D department are developing other systems to compliment the current range.

Grades, Colour & Properties of Tufcot® Composite Materials

All grades can have a different coloured dye/pigment added if a certain colour product is required, this does not change the physical properties just the appearance.

Grade Colour Properties & Typical Applications
T100 White Dimensionally stable bearing material for use primarily in harmless fluids, e.g. in water, oils etc.
T100G Dark Grey Self-lubricating version of T100. It is an inexpensive general-purpose hard wearing material to replace most existing metallic or non-metallic bearing materials.
T100M Light Grey Self-lubricating high performance bearing material.
T100MP Light Grey Low friction marine bearing material.
T200 Range Light Grey Enhanced temperature material incorporating chemical resistant properties.
T400G Light Grey Fire retardant, self-lubricating grade. Essential for underground mining applications.
T600 To Order Superior chemical resistant grade.

Key:
