Tufcot® Wearstrip

Tufcot® wear strip is used in hydraulic cylinder applications such as:

  • Piston Rings
  • Rod Guide Rings
  • Gland rings

Tufcot wear strips are produced from several grades in our material range.

In many instances they incorporate solid lubricants such as, Graphite, Molybdenum Disulphide or PTFE and occasionally a combination of lubricant fillers.

Typically, these parts are working in hydraulic oil or other mediums but can be used in pneumatic cylinders.

Wearstrip – Dimensions & Sizes

Our comprehensive machining capability allows us to offer wear strip that are finish machined to suit our customer’s specific requirements of groove width and rod or piston diameters and is available in 3 or 5 metre lengths.

Tufcot® standard wearring or wearstrip can be supplied from 1mm to 5+ mm in thickness and widths up to 50mm.

Our strips are machined to controlled & accurate tolerances and can be produced in various colours & grades.

Tufcot® strip allows for low slip characteristics and possess excellent use in non-standard chemical applications with low swell.

Tufcot® stock strip is ideal for breakdown repairs.
